Galatasaray Club President Dursun Özbek, Fatih Terim, members of the board of directors of the yellow-red club, Berkman's family, and his loved ones attended the ceremony at RAMS Park.

Dursun Özbek stated in his speech that Candemir Berkman provided great services to Galatasaray, saying, "I am a Galatasaray fan who has watched him many times at Dolmabahçe Stadium. After I took office at Galatasaray Club, I consulted him many times. Every time he came, if there were mistakes or errors we made, he would sincerely share his thoughts by saying, 'President, let's do this like this, let's do that like that.' That’s why we met many times. Besides being an athlete, he had an exceptional personality. He was truly a good Galatasaray fan. Today we bid farewell to him. I pray for God's mercy upon him. I wish patience to his valuable family. May his place be paradise, and may he rest in light."
