The legendary figure of Arabesque music, Ferdi Tayfur, passed away on January 2 due to liver and kidney failure. His death saddened his fans, and he was laid to rest on January 4. Tayfur donated a significant portion of the wealth he accumulated over the years.

HE DONATED PART OF HIS INHERITANCE TO FOUNDATIONS

The artist donated some of his properties in Yalova and Istanbul to the Darüşşafaka Society, the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), and the Foundation for Children with Leukemia (LÖSEV). Two apartments in Beldibi, Marmaris, and one apartment in the Fatih district of Istanbul were donated to the Darüşşafaka Society, while eight villas in the Esenköy area of Çınarcık, Yalova, were donated to LÖSEV, and one apartment in the Mudurnu district of Bolu was left to the TSK.

Ferdi Tayfur left his other assets as an inheritance to his children, grandchildren, nephews, and his legally married wife, Zeliha Tayfur Bayburt. It was learned that the artist left his other properties to Ferdi Taha Tayfur, Ulaş Dınız, Derin Dınız, Zeynep Doğrul, Can Doğrul, Nefes Lila Gözalıcı, Şirin Gözalıcı, Ferdi Tayfur Turanbayburt, Buse Turanbayburt, and Emirhan Turanbayburt, while the rights to his compositions, music, and copyrighted works were left to Nilüfer Turanbayburt.

HIS TWO CHILDREN'S NAMES WERE NOT INCLUDED

In Ferdi Tayfur's will, his only daughter, Tuğçe Tayfur, and his eldest son, Timur Turanbayburt, who donated a kidney to him, were not mentioned. The lawyer of Tuğçe Tayfur and Timur Turanbayburt stated that they objected to the will and requested a precautionary measure on all assets except for those donated to the TSK, Darüşşafaka Society, and LÖSEV, as well as the appointment of a trustee.

8 VILLAS WILL BE "SMURF VILLAGE"

The fate of the 8 villas located in the Esenköy area of Çınarcık, Yalova, donated by Tayfur to LÖSEV has been revealed. According to a report in Nefes Newspaper, a "Smurf Village" will be established for children in the 8 villas located side by side in the forest. LÖSEV President Üstün Ezer stated, "There will be 7-8 children in each house in the forest, providing morale for more than 50 children."
