An operation was carried out to capture Yasir Gülen, the nephew of FETÖ leader Fetullah Gülen, who has an arrest warrant in Istanbul for the crime of "membership in an armed terrorist organization." Following technical and physical surveillance, Yasir Gülen was apprehended at the address where he was hiding in Ümraniye.
Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch, in coordination with the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and the Intelligence Branch, conducted operations to capture individuals wanted for being members of the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO).
FETHULLAH GULEN'S NEPHEW CAPTURED
In the operations, it was determined that Yasir Gülen, the son of Salih Gülen, the brother of the organization's leader Fethullah Gülen, who is wanted for the crime of "being a member of an armed terrorist organization," had an increase in his Bank Asya accounts and was found to have participated in so-called meetings, was in Istanbul.
After technical and physical surveillance, the teams identified the address where the suspect was hiding in Umraniye.
The suspect, captured in an operation conducted at the specified address, was taken to the police for processing.
