Fourteen students who experienced nausea and vomiting after eating chicken in the cafeteria of a private high school in Kocaeli were hospitalized. Teams took samples from the chicken sold in the cafeteria for examination.

14 high school students who ate chicken at the canteen in Gebze district of Kocaeli were hospitalized with suspected food poisoning.

14 students studying at a private high school in Tatlıkuyu Neighborhood experienced nausea and vomiting after eating chicken in the school canteen yesterday. The students reported the situation to their teachers; health and police teams were dispatched to the school upon notification. The 14 students were taken to different hospitals in the district by health teams. It was reported that the students are in good condition.

Meanwhile, teams from the Gebze Food, Agriculture and Livestock Directorate took samples from the chicken sold in the canteen for examination. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
