Great news for millions of civil servants! Allowances have been increased.

In the 8th Term Collective Bargaining Negotiations, which concern the financial and social rights of approximately 4 million public employees and more than 2 million retired civil servants, a decision was made to increase the teachers' preparation allowance for the academic year from 5,266 Turkish Lira to 6,436 Turkish Lira. Additionally, the exemption from duty due to pregnancy and childbirth, which was previously granted to civil servants, has also been extended to contracted personnel.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, a sharing was made regarding the gains in 11 service branches during the 8th Term Public Collective Bargaining Negotiations through the NSocial account.

Accordingly, in the Bureau, Banking, and Insurance Service Branch, travel cards were provided to civil servants who were assigned mandatory mobile duties, including those working at the Ministry of Commerce, and the additional payment for personnel working in 112 emergency call centers was increased by 556 lira. It was also ensured that the justice service compensation, which is paid with an increase of 15, 10, and 5 points according to the cities they are in, is also given to contracted personnel.

EDUCATION ALLOWANCE FOR ACADEMIC PERSONNEL INCREASED BY 1853 LIRA

In the Education, Teaching, and Scientific Services Branch, the preparation allowance for teachers for the academic year was increased from 5,266 lira to 6,436 lira. The education allowance for academic personnel was also increased by 1853 lira. It was ensured that preschool teachers are paid an additional hour of lesson fee per week in return for the actual implementation of services such as students' meals, sleeping, resting, and education.

Contracted personnel working in course centers were also ensured to be paid overtime, and it was decided that the additional lesson fees for school administrators and guidance counselors pursuing master's and doctoral degrees would be paid with an increase of 7% and 20%, respectively.

In the Health and Social Services Branch, the on-call fees for health personnel were increased by 10%, and it was ensured that those assigned as trainers in the mandatory training of 112 Emergency Health Services personnel would be counted as having worked for up to 30 days in their revolving fund payments.

A decision was made to allow personnel working in the Ministry of Family and Social Services to receive on-call fees during official holidays as well as religious holidays.

Additionally, it was ensured that the exemption granted to civil servants for on-call duties due to pregnancy and childbirth is also granted to contracted personnel.

SPECIAL SERVICE COMPENSATIONS INCREASED BY 889 LIRA

In the Local Government Services Branch, the period required for signing the social balance agreement was extended to 9 months.

The special service compensations for municipal police and fire personnel were increased by 889 lira. It became mandatory to provide public transportation cards to personnel working in municipalities within the scope of metropolitan areas, and those using multiple public transportation vehicles were granted transfer rights. Additionally, the scope of overtime payments made to fire and police personnel was expanded.

In the Press, Publication, and Communication Services Branch, the additional payments for those who perform their duties while driving, excluding chief distributors and drivers in the Postal and Telegraph Organization (PTT), were increased by 117 lira, and the bonus points for personnel in the Presidency's Communication Directorate were increased by 20 points. The number of provinces covered by the success additional payment given to contracted personnel in PTT was also increased.

In the Culture and Arts Services Branch, the additional payment for contracted personnel working as stage implementers/expert civil servants was increased by 234 lira. The maximum overtime payment for personnel working in libraries, museums, tourism information offices, and cultural centers, which was previously paid for up to 350 hours per year, was increased to 400 hours.

The overtime payment for personnel working in excavations was increased by 25%, and additional payments were ensured for choir and group leaders affiliated with the General Directorate of Fine Arts based on 293 lira.

CONTRACTED PERSONNEL INCLUDED

In the Public Works, Construction, and Village Services Branch, the overtime payment for units where overtime is needed during emergencies and disasters, established by the AFAD Presidency, was increased from 50 hours to 60 hours per month.

The job risk bonus paid to search and rescue technicians in the AFAD provincial organization was increased from 900 points to 1200 points, which is equivalent to 445 lira, and the coverage was expanded to include search and rescue technicians and contracted personnel with these titles. Additionally, the maximum overtime payment for personnel in the General Directorate of Highways was increased from 300 hours to 350 hours per year.

In the Transportation Services Branch, the overtime payment for personnel in the General Directorate of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) and TCDD Transportation Inc. was expanded to include personnel from TÜRASAŞ General Directorate. It was ensured that personnel working in the construction sites, factories, workshops, and laboratories of these institutions receive protective clothing assistance shopping vouchers of up to 16,383 lira.

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING ASSISTANCE UP TO 16,383 LIRA

In the Agriculture and Forestry Services Branch, additional payments were ensured for personnel from the provincial organization of the General Directorate of Forestry who directly intervene in forest fires in fire areas, with a maximum monthly payment of 2,926 lira based on 293 lira per day.

The duration for benefiting from the payment given to personnel from the provincial organization of the General Directorate of Forestry who are on fire watch was extended by 1 month, and the maximum overtime payment for personnel from the General Directorate of the Agricultural Products Office during harvest periods was increased from 350 hours to 400 hours per year.

In the Energy, Industry, and Mining Services Branch, it was decided to provide protective clothing assistance shopping vouchers of up to 16,383 lira for personnel working in institutions' factories, workshops, and laboratories.

The overtime payment for personnel working on State Water Works (DSI) projects was increased by 25%. The scope of the overtime payment for DSI personnel was expanded, and the annual limit for benefiting was increased from 125 hours to 150 hours.

In the Religious Affairs and Foundation Services Branch, the overtime payment for religious officials who actually worked during Ramadan was increased by 25%. It was ensured that Quran course instructors assigned on duty in dormitory Quran courses affiliated with the Presidency of Religious Affairs are paid additional lesson fees not exceeding 3 hours per week. The additional payment for chief imam hatips, expert imam hatips, imam hatips, chief muezzin supervisors, and muezzin supervisors was increased by 556 lira.
