Explaining the information he received regarding the contact of the Saudi Arabian team NEOM SC with Barış Alper Yılmaz, Volkan Demirel stated, "As far as I know, there is an offer made to Barış Alper by NEOM, and there is also an offer from Galatasaray. I have a rough idea of the numbers as well. Galatasaray has bigger expectations. This is also true. If your target is different, you would want to keep a player like Barış. If he is to leave, they want to sell him for a good price, but since the numbers Barış will receive are very tempting, these mutual statements were made." he said.
"THERE IS NO GOOD COMING FROM THIS DEAL"
Demirel stated that Barış Alper's exclusion from the squad for the Kayserispor match is a sign that the transfer is over, saying, "If they didn't include Barış Alper in the squad, I think that deal is done. There won't be any good coming from this deal anymore. The first offer was 25, the second offer was 35+5, and the offer made to Barış is 10 million Euros. What Galatasaray wants is 60 million Euros." he expressed.
"OSIMHEN'S SALARY WILL CAUSE DISCOMFORT"
Stating that "I think Barış Alper will leave. It is not healthy for him to stay right now," Volkan Demirel also spoke about salary balance, saying, "Osimhen's salary will cause discomfort among the players. It is normal for Barış Alper to want to leave; the salary balance needs to be established well. I am not saying this just for Galatasaray." he remarked.
