In the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the criminal organization led by Selahattin Yılmaz, the former chairman of the Board of Directors of the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE), lawyer İsmet Sayhan, has been detained. Sayhan is accused of "leaking confidential information."

CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION INVESTIGATION EXPANDS

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has expanded the investigation into the criminal organization led by Selahattin Yılmaz. İsmet Sayhan, who is alleged to have operated within the criminal organization and engaged in espionage, has been detained.

ALLEGATION OF "LEAKING SECRET INFORMATION"

The Machinery and Chemical Institute (MKE) had previously announced that a legal process had been initiated regarding the incident of "leaking plans and secret price information related to the procurement of artillery shells for the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK)," in which ASSAN and İsmet Sayhan were mentioned. It was stated that a criminal complaint had been filed in this context, and it was determined that Sayhan had been operating within the criminal organization.

WILL GIVE A STATEMENT IN ISTANBUL

It has been learned that the suspect was detained due to an investigation related to the allegation of 'preparing an assassination' against 'confessor' Aziz İhsan Aktaş, which led to the arrest of numerous CHP mayors based on allegations of corruption and bribery. Sayhan is expected to be transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse, where the investigation is being conducted, tomorrow morning, and it has been reported that he is being processed for membership in a criminal organization and espionage charges, while it is claimed that "evidence" in the form of documents and materials was seized during the searches at the suspect's home and workplace.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

As part of operations targeting organized crime, 17 suspects were detained in Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Muğla, and Samsun.

After their procedures at the police station, 10 suspects, including Selahattin Yılmaz, were arrested by the court, while 6 were released under judicial control measures and 7 were released.
