As a result of the failure to reach an agreement in the salary negotiations concerning civil servants and retired civil servants under the 8th Term Public Collective Agreement, the process was referred to the Public Employers Committee by the Public Officials Arbitration Board. The Board held its first meeting yesterday at the Court of Accounts Presidency. Representatives from the ministries and union officials attended the meeting.
NO RESULTS FROM THE FIRST MEETING
No results came from the eagerly awaited first meeting by the civil servants. The Public Officials Arbitration Board, which held its second meeting today, will announce the figures within 5 days at the latest.
SECOND MEETING ENDED, EYES ON THE 3RD MEETING

Additionally, public employer representatives shared their thoughts on these demands. The third meeting will be held on Monday, August 25, at 10:00 AM.
WHAT IS THE ARBITRATION BOARD?
The Arbitration Board consists of 11 members, 6 of whom are appointed by the President. 4 members of the board are from Memur-Sen, one is from Kamu-Sen, and the other member is selected by the President from among the academics nominated by Memur-Sen. Thus, the government's influence in the board is clearly visible.
THE IMPORTANCE AND PROCESS OF THE ARBITRATION BOARD'S DECISION
The decision to be made by the Arbitration Board will be final and will have the force of a collective bargaining agreement. It is expected that the decision will be announced within 5 days after the application.

The proposal also included a suggestion to improve the base salaries by 1,000 TL.
