A fire broke out on the first floor of the oncology building at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University (RTEÜ) Education and Research Hospital in Rize, and it was extinguished by the fire brigade teams in a short time. 18 patients were evacuated within approximately 30 minutes.

FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN A SHORT TIME

A fire broke out for unknown reasons on the first floor of the oncology building at RTEÜ Education and Research Hospital around 16:30. The fire, which was intervened by the fire brigade teams who arrived after the notification, was extinguished in a short time. After the fire, the building was filled with dense smoke, while 18 patients were evacuated by the staff within 30 minutes. Teams have started working to determine the cause of the fire.
