Hamza S., a mentally disabled man who was tortured by his coworkers in a workshop in Ankara by being tied to a crane by his foot, said, "They played such a joke on me. More precisely, a donkey joke. They scared me. I was intimidated, I couldn't even tell my family. I hope they all get their punishment, including my former boss." Additionally, footage has emerged showing that Hamza S. was also physically assaulted at the same workplace two years ago.
Hamza S. (26), who works in a workshop producing construction machinery parts in Ankara and has a 61% mental disability, was filmed being tied to a crane by his colleagues about 1.5 years ago. Last week, these images of Hamza S. were shared on social media.
3 SUSPECTS ARRESTED, BUSINESS OWNER RELEASED
Hamza S.'s relatives saw the post on social media and reported the situation to the police. Kemal Budak, Mehmet Ali Şenkal, and Niyazi Ayhan, who were detained following the report, were arrested by the court the day before yesterday on charges of "deprivation of liberty, torture, threat, intentional injury, and mistreatment." The business owner B.Ç., who was also detained, was released after giving a statement to the prosecutor's office.
"THEY PLAYED SUCH A JOKE ON ME TOO"
Speaking about the incident, Hamza S. said, "The incident happened 1.5 years ago. My boss told me, 'Tell me what happened, what they think about me, what is in the shop.' I told them. They played such a joke on me. More precisely, a donkey joke. They said, 'We were just joking with him.' They published it on social media. I had no idea, my family had no idea; my sister saw it. She spread it on social media. My sister said, 'How could you do this?' Then she said, 'Remove those videos,' but they didn't remove them. I went and filed a complaint."
"I WAS AFRAID, I COULDN'T EVEN TELL MY FAMILY"
Expressing that he was afraid and couldn't even tell his family what he experienced, Hamza S. said, "One was my former boss, the others were employees. We filed a complaint on Monday. I identified them. My sister also gave her statement, and they were arrested. They scared me. I was afraid, I couldn't even tell my family. I'm sorry. They should serve their sentences. My boss is also involved. He is turning a blind eye. My former boss should also serve his sentence."

On the other hand, footage has emerged showing that Hamza S. was beaten by another person at the same workplace 2 years ago. However, the family did not file a complaint due to reconciliation between the parties.
