Fenerbahçe's new signing Dorgeles Nene has arrived in Istanbul. The 22-year-old player, transferred from the Salzburg club, came to Turkey for a medical check-up and to sign an official contract. Fenerbahçe has reached a preliminary agreement with the player and the club Salzburg for the transfer of Dorgeles Nene. The 22-year-old player has arrived in Istanbul for a medical check-up and to sign the official contract.
ARRIVED IN ISTANBUL AT MIDNIGHT
Nene arrived in Istanbul around 02:00 on the night between Monday and Tuesday following Fenerbahçe's invitation. Fenerbahçe is expected to pay a transfer fee of 15 million euros for Dorgeles Nene, with a total of 20 million euros including bonuses. The young star scored 15 goals and provided 9 assists in 49 matches for Salzburg.
WHO IS DORGELES NENE?
Born in 2002 in the city of Kayes, Mali, Nene started football at his country's Guidars FC team. His performance there caught the attention of Salzburg, and he transferred to the Austrian representative in 2021.
In the early years of his career, the young player was loaned to Liefering, SV Ried, and Westerlo, and returned to the Salzburg squad in 2023. Nene has played in 87 matches for the Austrian team, scoring 22 goals and providing 14 assists during this period. The current market value of the Malian footballer is estimated at 12 million euros.
