The leader of the MHP, Devlet Bahçeli, made a notable statement following the incident in İzmir where two of our police officers were martyred. In his statement, Bahçeli said, "The fact that a 16-year-old identified as a killer opened fire on a police station with a long-barreled weapon cannot be considered independent of the vile games being played against our Turkey."
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stated regarding the armed attack on a police station in İzmir, "I believe that the perpetrator's ties and connections will be revealed, and the veil of secrecy surrounding this heinous and vile incident will undoubtedly be lifted."
"THIS ATTACK HAS DEEPLY SADDENED OUR NATION"
MHP Chairman Bahçeli published a condolence message following the armed attack on the Salih İşgören Police Station in Balçova, İzmir. In a post on his social media account, Bahçeli stated, "The treacherous and brutal attack carried out on a police station in Balçova, İzmir, which is also an assassination attempt on the environment of peace and security, has deeply saddened our nation and all of us. In this bloody and treacherous attack, our Chief Police Inspector Muhsin Aydemir and our Police Officer Hasan Akın have been martyred, and two of our police officers, one of whom is in serious condition, have been injured. I pray for mercy from Allah for our dear martyrs; I wish patience and condolences to their grieving families, our law enforcement agency, and the Turkish nation. I wish a speedy recovery to our police officers who are still undergoing treatment," he expressed.

Bahçeli, stating that those aiming to create chaos in the streets will not be able to achieve their goals, said, "I believe that the perpetrator's ties and connections will be revealed, and the veil of secrecy surrounding this heinous and vile incident will undoubtedly be lifted. Those who aim to poison our blossoming hopes and the established climate of peace and brotherhood, and those who are waiting in ambush to cause unrest and chaos in the streets will certainly not succeed. The fact that a 16-year-old killer, determined to be of that age, opened fire on a police station with a long-barreled weapon in the early hours of the morning cannot be considered independent of the despicable games played on our Turkey. It is an inevitable national duty to dismantle the internal and external treachery front that excites, provokes, and accelerates the transition to action, which stimulates the factions waiting on alert to disrupt the atmosphere of internal peace and tranquility. This duty is sacred, and thank God, the Republic of Turkey is capable," he said.
