CHP Chairman Özgür Özel spoke at the 'Upholding the Will of the Nation' rally organized by his party in the Adalar district of Istanbul.
DEFENDED THE PROVOCATION OF CHP DEPUTIES AT THE PODIUM
Özel, who addressed the scuffle that occurred before the swearing-in of Akın Gürlek, appointed as Minister of Justice by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Mustafa Çiftçi, appointed as Minister of Interior, defended the podium provocation of CHP deputies.
"THEY MADE THEM SWEAR BY SETTING UP BARRIERS"
Özel stated: "In the history of the Republic of Turkey, and perhaps in the history of world politics, it is a disgrace that on the day he was appointed, a so-called prosecutor who could not go to parliament to take an oath, who was independent until yesterday, was sworn in by the deputies of a party through kicks and punches, by setting up barriers. If such a person has come to the head of justice, then the end of this government has come as well."
