The wallet lost by American Richard Guilford at a Ford factory in 2014 was found 10 years later by a mechanic in a car engine. Guilford described the wallet's long journey as "incredible" and said he would display it in a showcase at home.
In the U.S., Richard Guilford lost his wallet in 2014 while assembling vehicles at a Ford factory. Despite searching dozens of vehicles and workplaces with his coworkers, Guilford could not find his wallet and had no news of it for years.
SURPRISE MESSAGE FROM THE REPAIRMAN
Last month, in Lake Crystal, Minnesota, repairman Chad Volk found a wallet stuck between the engine and the air filter box while servicing a customer's vehicle. Thanks to the driver's license and ID inside, Volk was able to identify the owner and reached out to Guilford via Facebook.
"AN INCREDIBLE JOURNEY"
Guilford, who reunited with his wallet after 10 years, said, "It has traveled so far in the freezing cold of Minnesota and the scorching heat of Arizona. This is incredible." He mentioned that he plans to display the wallet in a showcase at home and intends to tell this story to his children and grandchildren.
