Competing at the Mondo Classic Championship held at the IFU Arena in Sweden, Duplantis improved the world record by 1 centimeter with his height of 6.31.

The Swedish athlete had previously broken the 14th world record with a height of 6.30 meters at the 20th World Athletics Championships held in Japan, winning his 3rd world championship.
WHO IS ARMAND DUPLANTIS?
Armand "Mondo" Duplantis was born on November 10, 1999. He is a Swedish pole vaulter born in America and holds the pole vault world record with a height of 6.25 meters. Duplantis won a gold medal at the 2015 World Youth Championships in the 15 age group and holds several world records in various age categories. He broke the under-20 pole vault world record by clearing a height of 6.05 meters at the 2018 European Championships and won a silver medal at the 2019 World Championships. He won gold medals at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics.
