SHE WAS STRANGLED TO DEATH
The incident occurred on March 31, 2026, around 6:00 PM at an address on 3315 Street in the Ayniali neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Mürşide Böcüne, 69, was found motionless in the hallway by her husband İbrahim Böcüne, and the initial examination revealed that she had a scarf around her neck and was deemed to have been strangled to death. It was also determined that the gold items belonging to the elderly woman had been taken.
1200 HOURS OF CAMERA FOOTAGE WERE REVIEWED
Under the coordination of the Manisa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a study initiated by the Homicide Bureau of the Public Order Branch and the Intelligence Branch involved examining 100 different security cameras in the area, resulting in an analysis of approximately 1,200 hours of footage. It was determined that the suspect, dressed in black, who entered the street after the victim's husband left the house, was E.A. (32). After leaving the crime scene, the suspect was found to have exchanged 5 half gold coins at a jeweler through a friend. In an operation conducted by the police, individuals named E.A., B.A. (20), and A.Ç.A. (16) were taken into custody in connection with the incident. During searches of the suspects, 60,700 TL in cash, believed to be obtained from the sale of the gold, was seized. Among the suspects sent to judicial authorities, A.Ç.A. (16) was released by the prosecutor, while B.A. (20) was released under judicial control. E.A., who was determined to have killed the elderly woman for 5 half gold coins, was arrested and sent to prison.
