Ahmet Çelikçi (22) lost his life due to the pellets fired from the gun of his cousin İsmail K. (21) while they were out hunting together in Gaziantep. İsmail K., who was taken into custody, claimed in his first statement that the gun fired accidentally. The incident occurred yesterday evening in the rural area of the Yukarıgüneyse neighborhood of the district. Ahmet Çelikçi was injured by the pellets that suddenly fired from the gun of his cousin İsmail K.
COUSIN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Following İsmail K.'s report to the 112 Emergency Call Center, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Ahmet Çelikçi was taken to Oğuzeli State Hospital after the intervention. Despite all the efforts of the doctors, Çelikçi could not be saved. His body was handed over to his relatives after the procedures at the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institution. İsmail K., who was taken into custody and claimed in his statement that the incident was accidental, is still undergoing processing at the police station.
