Bloor told the BBC in an interview that her husband said to her, "Baby, don't move, there's a 2.5-meter python on you." After sliding out from under the blanket, she directed the python outside with food in her hand.

Bloor, who grew up in a rural area and is used to snakes, stated, "If you stay calm, they stay calm too." Rachel Bloor mentioned that neither she, her husband, nor their dog were injured in the incident.
