SUSPECT VEHICLE UNDER SURVEILLANCE
Efforts to combat drugs in Şırnak continue uninterrupted. The teams of the Narcotic Crimes Department of the Provincial Police Department took a suspicious vehicle under surveillance on April 12, 2026, based on the analysis work they conducted. The teams stopped the vehicle at a checkpoint on the Cizre-Nusaybin highway and conducted a detailed search.

During the search, 42.08 grams of heroin, which was hidden inside a baby diaper to avoid drawing attention, was seized. H.K., who was determined to be connected to the incident, was detained under Article 188 of the Turkish Penal Code, which covers the crime of "Manufacturing and trafficking of drugs or stimulants," upon the instruction of the public prosecutor.
