The Gendarmerie General Command announced that 16 suspects were arrested in an operation targeting 'establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime and illegal gambling' in 6 provinces centered in Batman. According to the statement made by the Gendarmerie General Command; in operations conducted in 6 provinces centered in Batman, 16 suspects with 332 million lira in account transactions related to 'establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime and illegal gambling' were captured.
ALL SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED
It was determined that the suspects were facilitating illegal gambling through websites and mediating illegal money transfers, laundering the illegal income they obtained by transferring it to international accounts through cryptocurrency accounts opened by third parties, and directing users to illegal gambling sites. All of the suspects were arrested by the court to which they were brought.
