Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz reiterated that they do not trust the Syrian government and will continue the occupation in Syria. Katz stated, "We will maintain our presence there forever."

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz made statements regarding Israeli attacks on Syria at an event held in the capital, Tel Aviv.

"WE WILL MAINTAIN OUR PRESENCE IN SYRIA FOREVER"

According to Channel 14, Katz stated that they "will not eliminate the Druze," asserting, "We do not trust the Syrian regime, and we will maintain our presence there forever." Katz expressed that they conveyed a message regarding not having troops in the southern part of the country and issued a threat of attack.

NETANYAHU HAD ALSO SENT A MESSAGE

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had previously conveyed the message that Israel's occupation in Syria would be permanent and that they demanded the establishment of a demilitarized zone in southern Syria. Netanyahu stated, "The Israeli army will remain at the summit of Mount Hermon (Jebel al-Sheikh) in Syria."
