The forest fire that started in Izmir on August 15th continues on its 3rd day. 4 planes, 14 helicopters, 70 ground vehicles, and 445 personnel are intervening in the flames. While 17 houses burned in the fire, 105 houses and 44 workplaces were evacuated. According to NASA satellite images, 941 hectares of land in Izmir have been engulfed by the flames. The damage in the burned areas was also captured from the air.

The forest fire that started in the Karşıyaka district of Izmir on August 15 spread to a wide area due to the influence of the wind. Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya shared the areas affected by the fire and evacuated in Izmir. A total of 800 citizens were evacuated, including 170 in Sancaklı Neighborhood, 500 in Doğançay Neighborhood, 50 in Zübeyde Neighborhood, and 80 in Onur Neighborhood.
