WHO IS AHMET SEVER?

Ahmet Sever, born in 1960 in Konya, completed his education at the Faculty of Political Science at Brussels University. Sever, who stepped into the international media field, served as the Brussels correspondent and representative of Milliyet newspaper from 1983 to 1998. During this time, he also worked at BBC Cologne and Voice of Germany radio, and was part of the team of the famous journalist Mehmet Ali Birand's 32. Gün.

Returning to Turkey in 1998, Sever worked as the news director at Milliyet newspaper and CNN Türk. He reinforced his expertise on European Union issues with the programs he prepared for CNN Türk and TRT. During this period, he also provided consultancy on European Union relations.

From 2004 to 2007, he continued to serve as the Chairman of the European Union Communication Group under Abdullah Gül.
