Before the trial for the annulment of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu stated, "The organization will react for 2-3 days, then everything will be fine," indicating that he considers the process to be insignificant. Additionally, Kılıçdaroğlu expressed that he does not find the rallies organized for Ekrem İmamoğlu to be appropriate, saying, "This matter is related to the law; there is no need for rallies."
The lawsuit filed for the cancellation of the Republican People's Party's (CHP) 38th Ordinary Congress, which took place in November 2023, continues to be at the forefront of the political agenda. As the hearing date approaches, the remarks made by the party's former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu have drawn attention.
"THEY WILL REACT FOR 2-3 DAYS"
According to a report by Sözcü writer Saygı Öztürk; speaking during a visit by a CHP delegation, Kılıçdaroğlu stated regarding the possibility of the congress being canceled, "Friends, there is no need to panic about this. What will the organization's reaction be? They will react for 2-3 days. What was it, they said they wouldn't let me into the headquarters. Yes, let them not. Where the chairman is, that is the headquarters. Everything will fall into place."
"IF THEY OPPOSE THE DECISION..."
Kılıçdaroğlu also pointed out that opposing this decision would lead to various practical problems, asking, "If they oppose the decision, how will they pay salaries, how will they select the deputies, how will they determine the mayor?"
CRITICISM OF İMAMOĞLU'S RALLIES
Kılıçdaroğlu's statements were not limited to the congress lawsuit. He also expressed that he did not find the support rallies organized for Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is facing the risk of arrest, appropriate. It was learned that Kılıçdaroğlu said, "This issue is a matter between Ekrem Bey and the law. There is no need for such rallies."
