The remarkable rise of İbrahim Halil Talay, who plays for Kastamonuspor in the TFF 2nd League White Group, has become a new success story in Turkish football. The young footballer, who once worked as a welder in the industry and served 12 months in the military, stepped into professionalism at the age of 24.

Born in the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa, Talay caught attention at Viranşehir İdmanyurdu and transferred to Şanlıurfaspor in 2017. The striker, who played for Viranşehir teams between 2018-2021, turned professional at Karaköprü Belediyespor in 2022.
Although he was sometimes benched, he did not give up; in the 2023-24 season, he contributed 5 goals to Karaköprü Belediyespor's 3rd League championship. After the age limit in the 3rd League, Talay transferred to GMG Kastamonuspor at the beginning of the 2025-26 season and has exploded in his new team.
