In the Dörtyol district of Hatay, municipal police teams conducted inspections of food production businesses. At a food production establishment named Levent Börek, frozen products that had been stored in the warehouse were found to be three years past their expiration date. Although the staff of the establishment defended themselves by saying, "This is a returned product, I never used these," the head of the municipal police reacted to the situation.

Dörtyol Municipality teams continue their inspections of food businesses across the district. The teams, led by Zoning Director Ali Avan, focused on bakeries and businesses selling processed food in their efforts to protect public health.

EXPIRED PRODUCTS IDENTIFIED

During the inspections, the expiration dates of products, hygiene conditions, and food safety standards were thoroughly examined. Some businesses found to have expired products during the checks were documented. The mentioned products were collected by the zoning teams to be destroyed.

SOME BUSINESSES SEALED

On the other hand, some businesses identified as operating without a license were given until tomorrow to rectify their deficiencies. Authorities stated that businesses failing to meet the necessary conditions during the second inspection would be sealed due to violations of licensing and hygiene regulations.

PRODUCTS WITH EXPIRATION DATES 3 YEARS OVERDUE IDENTIFIED

During the inspection conducted by the zoning teams at Levent Börek, frozen products stored in the cold storage were noticed to be 3 years past their expiration date. Although the business staff defended themselves by saying, "This is a return product, I never used these," zoning director Avan reacted by saying, "It's not just 1 or 2 months late. I can't know if this has been sold or wrapped."

Additionally, expired products seized from the business, including pastries that had been forgotten for days and had become unrecognizable due to mold, were destroyed by the teams.
