Minister Mehmet Şimşek answered questions from journalists regarding Turkey's economic moves during a live broadcast on TV100. He also made striking statements in response to criticisms that the budget is going to interest.
"ONE MUST EITHER BE ILL-INTENTIONED OR NOT HAVE LOOKED AT THE NUMBERS"
In his statements, Şimşek said, "To say that the budget is going to interest, one must either be ill-intentioned or not have looked at the numbers," and added, "If the national income of the country was 100 TL in 2002, 14 TL went to interest. If the national income is 100 TL in 2022, 3 TL goes to interest."
