MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stated, "Developments have led to a louder discussion of scenarios for a Third World War. Under these circumstances, we propose that the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres calls for the US, Russia, China, Turkey, and the EU to develop a new measure through the 'World Peace Council' mechanism. We believe that Turkey could host this initiative."

According to a post made on MHP's social media account, Bahçeli stated in his message, "The failure of the ongoing talks between Iran and the USA in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, has resulted in a threat to peace in the world."
“PROPOSAL FOR A WORLD PEACE COUNCIL”
Bahçeli continued his remarks as follows: "The developments that have occurred have led to the scenarios of World War III being discussed more loudly.
