Regarding a potential interim increase in the minimum wage, he said, "I think it is too early to discuss these matters right now."
The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, made evaluations regarding retirement and minimum wage for housewives. Answering questions from the press before the AK Party Group Meeting, Işıkhan stated, "Currently, we do not have any work regarding retirees. We are currently focused on the collective bargaining negotiations for public workers. At the moment, we do not have any work for retirees. We will have a project regarding women's retirement. We will prepare the infrastructure in June and July. We have not yet finalized the content because we need to conduct an analysis," he said.
"IT'S TOO EARLY FOR A MID-TERM RAISE IN MINIMUM WAGE"
In response to the question, "Is a mid-term raise in the minimum wage on the agenda?" Minister Işıkhan said, "I think it is too early to discuss these matters right now."
"IF THERE IS A SETBACK, A MID-TERM RAISE IN JULY MAY BE POSSIBLE," HE SAID
Last week, in response to a question posed to him, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated, "We must protect our citizens' purchasing power. We expect a decrease in inflation, but if there is a setback, a mid-term raise may come up in July," he had said.
