Journalist Murat Ağırel called on the police and the prosecutor's office, stating that he and his family have been threatened. Ağırel, who published a post containing the threats, said, "I am asking for your help not as a journalist, but as a father. However, I demand the identification of these scoundrels who have not been able to get to me for two years; yet, they stoop so low as to say they will rape my children while hiding behind anonymous accounts."
Journalist Murat Ağırel stated in a post on his social media account that he and his family have been threatened. Ağırel, who mentioned that he has filed a criminal complaint, called for help.

Sharing a screenshot of the ugly threat against his daughter, Ağırel said: "I am addressing the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Istanbul Police Cyber Crime Unit: As a journalist, not as a father, I am asking for your help. I have filed a criminal complaint regarding this and similar accounts. I have submitted the information of the individuals and accounts I could identify to the prosecutor's office through official applications.
"THESE THREATS CANNOT BE IGNORED"
However, I demand the identification of these dishonorable individuals who have not been able to harm me for two years; yet, they have stooped so low as to say they will rape my children, identifying themselves as "Galatasaray fans" and hiding behind anonymous accounts.
These individuals have WhatsApp groups and Telegram channels, and they are being organized from there. These threats cannot be ignored. This situation is a clear and serious crime. I am addressing the cowardly broadcasters who target me in their broadcasts for the sake of viewership, without reading, listening, knowing, or being aware:
"I AM WARNING YOU FOR THE LAST TIME"
I will eventually find this dishonorable person. However, I have experienced this situation repeatedly because of your targeting of journalists just for the sake of viewership and to flatter your advertisers. My rights are not yours to take. Get yourselves together. Know your limits. I am warning you for the last time. Do not come out now and make insincere statements like "we condemn, we disapprove."
"STAY AWAY FROM MY CHILDREN"
What has happened is a direct result of your targeting me with lies and false information. The sensitivity you show when the children of illegal betting barons are paraded on the red carpet at ceremonies, does it change according to the color of the subject? My daughter and son are not part of your stupid football debates, your egos, and the filth within you. If you have the strength, let it be enough for me. Stay away from my children."
