INVESTIGATION AFTER HEADSCARF VIDEO
The Istanbul Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had taken action after social media influencer Murat Övüç shared a video wearing a headscarf. Following the investigation initiated due to the video, Övüç was taken into custody and was referred to the courthouse last Saturday after completing his procedures at the police station.

Murat Övüç, who was brought before the Duty Magistrate Court, was arrested on charges of "inciting the public to hatred and hostility" and sent to Metris Prison.
TRANSFERRED TO TEKİRDAĞ KARATEPE PRISON
According to the information obtained, Övüç was transferred to the Karatepe Correctional Institution located in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ around 20:00 today, accompanied by gendarmerie. After the transfer procedures, it was learned that Övüç was delivered to the prison.
