FEARED WALKING AROUND WITH THE NAME NETANYAHU
Avner, who changed his name in the Israeli identity to Avi Segal using his grandmother's surname, stated that he also changed his name on his driver's license and passport, expressing that he was afraid of walking around with that name in a country inhabited by Muslims.
It has been revealed that Avner purchased an apartment for £502,000 under the name Avi Segal from England, and he made the purchase in cash. He later began his master's education at Oxford University while concealing his connection to his father, and it was noted that his name appeared as Avi Segal in the school records.
FAILED TO NOTIFY THE TAX OFFICE ABOUT THE APARTMENT PURCHASE
The report stated that according to Israeli laws, there is no need to notify the tax office for properties purchased from abroad valued under 2 million Israeli shekels. It was emphasized that Avner did not make the notification because the price of the apartment he purchased during the period when the pound was at its weakest against the shekel amounted to 1.97 million shekels. When asked about the source of the funds used to buy the apartment, Avner stated that the source was his family. It was recorded that Avner returned to Israel from England after October 7, 2023. Israeli media noted that the Netanyahu family owns numerous properties, stating that the apartment Avner purchased in England is one of them.
NETANYAHU'S OTHER SON SUMMONED FOR TESTIMONY
Meanwhile, it was reported that Yair, the other son of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, was summoned for testimony by the Israeli police's anti-corruption unit "Lahav 433" as part of an ongoing investigation regarding the issuance of diplomatic passports to individuals who are not entitled to them. Yair is suspected of having received a diplomatic passport despite not being entitled to one, and it was stated that the Israeli internal intelligence agency Shin Bet (Shabak) believed this was unnecessary.
