Lawan Zanna Nur Geidam, a council member from the Fuchimeram area, stated that the injured were transferred to hospitals in Yobe and Borno. Geidam expressed the gravity of the situation at the market by saying, "What happened at Jilli Market was truly a devastating event. Even as I speak with you now, more than 200 people have lost their lives in the airstrike on the market."
