Feyza Civelek responded to criticisms that her success in the series Kızılcık Şerbeti is due to her mother. Civelek stated, "It's true that she opened the door, but I walked that path," and reacted strongly to the comments.
Feyza Civelek, who plays the character Nilay in the hit series Kızılcık Şerbeti on Show TV, responded for the first time so clearly to the nepotism criticisms made about her during the Senem Aydın program.
“THIS IS THE MOST UNFAIR CRITICISM”
Civelek, who said that comments made about her mother hurt her, used the following expressions:
“The most unfair criticism I received is the phrase ‘You are where you are because of your mother.’ Those words are hurtful to me, but I just laugh it off now.”
“IT'S BEEN 4 SEASONS, STILL THE SAME THING”
The actress reacted to the ongoing questioning of her success, saying, “It’s the fourth season, and still, my mother shouldn’t be talked about. If it’s still being discussed, I think it’s because they can’t stand me.”
“SHE OPENED THE DOOR, BUT I WALKED THROUGH IT”
Civelek, who openly acknowledged the subject of criticism, emphasized that the success belongs to her:
“It’s true that my mother opened the door for me. But I moved forward through that door with my own steps and my own shoes.”
“IF YOU DON'T ACT WELL, YOU CAN'T STAND OUT”
Civelek, who is confident in her acting, continued her words:
“If you don’t act well, you can’t carry such a role while being in the spotlight. You would have burst out somewhere.”
CHALLENGED THE CRITICS
The actress, who made a strong statement against the incoming comments, said, “If they are going to comment this much, they should take their hands off the keyboard and go act. That’s why I don’t take unnecessary things seriously,” and concluded.
