In an operation targeting an armed criminal organization operating on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, 21 suspects were detained. After procedures at the police department, the suspects were referred to the courthouse and were arrested by the court they were brought before.
In coordination with the Istanbul Police Department's Organized Crime Investigation Branch and the Istanbul Anatolian Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, work has been initiated to identify and apprehend members of an armed criminal organization, whose activity has been determined across the Anatolian Side and whose leadership is carried out by M.İ.Ö., who is currently serving a prison sentence.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION IN THE MORNING HOURS
Through physical and technical investigations, suspects involved in various crimes on behalf of the organization were identified. A simultaneous operation was carried out against the suspects in the morning hours of April 10th. During the operation, 21 suspects were detained, and searches at addresses resulted in the seizure of 5 unlicensed pistols, 1 pump-action rifle, 97 cartridges of various calibers, 5 rifle cartridges, and various checks and promissory notes. The suspects were taken to the police station for statement procedures.
21 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
After procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the judiciary and, upon being brought before the court, were arrested and sent to prison.
