A simultaneous operation was carried out at 29 addresses in Istanbul regarding the incident in which 3 of our police officers were martyred in Yalova. A total of 29 suspects were detained, including 28 suspects identified as propagating the terrorist organization through social media and 1 suspect who was found to be actively involved in the organization.
Simultaneous ISIS operations were carried out at 29 addresses by the Istanbul Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch teams. It was stated that the operations began in connection with the incident in Yalova, where 3 of our police officers were martyred in a clash with the terrorist organization ISIS.
29 SUSPECTS DETAINED
Simultaneous operations were conducted at 29 addresses in Istanbul. A total of 29 suspects were detained, including 28 who were identified as propagating the terrorist organization on social media and 1 who was found to be actively involved in the organization. During the searches conducted at the suspects' residences, a large number of digital materials and organizational documents were seized.
STATEMENT FROM THE CHIEF PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
In a statement made by the Chief Prosecutor's Office, the following expressions were included: "Our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, through the Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau, conducted an investigation aimed at uncovering the members and activities of the ISIS terrorist organization, following the instructions given to the Istanbul Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch;
In connection with the heinous attack that took place in our Yalova province, resulting in the martyrdom of (3) of our law enforcement personnel, a total of (29) suspects were captured, including (28) suspects identified as propagating the terrorist organization on social media and (1) suspect found to be actively involved in the organization. As of 01:00 on 31.12.2025, simultaneous capture, detention, search, and seizure operations were carried out at (29) separate addresses in our province, resulting in the capture of all suspects.
During the searches conducted at the suspects' residences, a large number of digital materials and organizational documents were seized. Our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office will continue its fight against all terrorist organizations with determination and resolve."
