President Erdoğan released a video message regarding the new year. Erdoğan stated, "We have left behind some important thresholds in the process of a terrorism-free Turkey, which will open a brand new page not only for our country but also for our region. It is our desire for the commission to act with a spirit of consensus in the final stretch. This process, aimed at freeing our country from a 40-year-old calamity, should not be sacrificed to the calculations of daily political interests."

"Today, we are bidding farewell to 2025 and preparing to greet 2026 with a brand new excitement, new hopes, and goals. I wish that the new calendar year will be a source of goodness for our country, our nation, our heart geography, and all humanity. I commemorate all our heroes who fell as martyrs in our struggle against terrorist organizations, drug traffickers, and urban bandits, as well as in securing the safety and survival of our state. I express my gratitude on behalf of myself and my nation to each of our veterans who have paid great prices for the peace and welfare of 86 million people. The past year witnessed significant developments both in our country and around the world. Despite the increasing effects of war, crisis, and tension in our region, Turkey continues its blessed journey with confidence under the management of competent and capable teams.
"WE ARE BREAKING RECORDS IN MANY AREAS FROM TOURISM TO DEFENSE INDUSTRY"
We are witnessing the positive results of the economic program we are implementing with determination across a wide spectrum. While the disinflation process continues, our Central Bank's reserves are strengthening, and we are accelerating production, investment, employment, and exports. We are breaking records in many areas from tourism to the defense industry. I believe that our social housing project of 500 thousand, whose first draws were held two days ago, will contribute not only to making our low-income citizens homeowners under very favorable conditions but also to reducing the bubble in housing and rental prices. We intend to crown the gains we have achieved in the economy with reforms this year. With the support of our Parliament, we will hopefully implement the Turkey Century reform program we announced at our grand congress step by step.
"WE HAVE SUCCEEDED IN REBUILDING OUR CITIES IN THE EARTHQUAKE ZONE"
My dear citizens, throughout 2025, the primary priority of our government was to heal the wounds of the February 6 disaster. Although we cannot bring back the lives we lost, we have succeeded in rebuilding our cities with their infrastructure, squares, green spaces, social facilities, and historical and cultural fabric. As promised, on December 27, we proudly presented the key of our 455,000th earthquake house to the rightful owners with the participation of approximately 100,000 of our brothers in Hatay. I wish the new homes and workplaces to be beneficial for our earthquake victims. Since February 6, I thank all my brothers who have been working on construction sites 24/7, regardless of the winter cold and summer heat, as well as all institutions and philanthropists who contributed to the construction of the houses. I invite those who criticize every effort instead of supporting the construction work to see for themselves what our state has achieved in Hatay and other disaster-stricken cities.
"600 THOUSAND SYRIANS HAVE RETURNED TO THEIR HOMELAND IN THE LAST YEAR"
As the government and the alliance, we will continue to keep our promises and will not let our nation down. We will not leave any of our brothers, whose faces are turned towards our country, alone, not just our own people. The reflections of our politics, which centers on rights, justice, and conscience, can be seen throughout our region, especially in Syria and Gaza. With the December 8 revolution, our neighbor Syria has accelerated its recovery, and significant progress has been made towards political stability in a short time. As the environment of peace in Syria becomes more entrenched, voluntary returns have also increased, and in the last year, 600 thousand of our Syrian guests have returned to their homeland. We believe that a strong Syria, which has secured its political unity and territorial integrity, will make exceptional contributions to both its surroundings and the world.
"WE WILL NEVER LET THE GENOCIDE BE FORGOTTEN UNTIL THOSE WHO MARTYRED 71 THOUSAND OF OUR BROTHERS ARE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE"
As Turkey, we will provide the necessary support to the new administration for the peace and security of the Syrian people, regardless of whether they are Arab, Kurdish, Turkmen, Sunni, Shia, or Nusayri. The ceasefire achieved with our contribution in Gaza continues thanks to the common sense of our Gazan brothers, despite all of Israel's violations. We are making intense efforts to stop Israel's attacks, accelerate humanitarian aid to Gaza, and begin reconstruction efforts. We will not be silenced, nor will we forget the genocide until those who martyred 71 thousand of our brothers are brought to justice.
We are also continuing our efforts to bring the Russia-Ukraine war, which is entering its 5th year, to an end with a just and lasting peace as soon as possible. We are closely monitoring the increasing provocations and threats against the interests of our country and the Turkish Cypriot people in the Eastern Mediterranean. I want it to be known that we will never tolerate any fait accompli, piracy, or banditry in our Blue Homeland.

My esteemed nation, we have passed some important thresholds in the process of a terror-free Turkey, which will open a brand new page not only for our country but also for our region. As the People's Alliance, we have always acted constructively during this process. By concentrating on the solution, we have put our entire body under the stone along with our hands. Our National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, which carefully listens to the relevant parties, will hopefully finalize its final report, which we believe will breathe new life into the process, soon. It is our desire for the commission to act with a spirit of consensus in the final stretch. This process, which aims to free our country from a 40-year-old calamity, should not be sacrificed to the calculations of daily political interests. We will not hesitate to do whatever is necessary to ensure that the process reaches its destination without any mishaps.
As we have for 23 years, we will continue to serve all 86 million with a love for the nation and the homeland in our hearts, working selflessly for the prosperity, peace, and welfare of all Turkey.
