Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 125 suspected members of the ISIS terrorist organization were arrested in operations conducted in 25 provinces this morning.
In his statement, Yerlikaya said, "In our operations carried out simultaneously by our Gendarmerie and Police this morning in 25 provinces; we arrested 125 ISIS suspects. Simultaneous operations were conducted in coordination with the General Command of Gendarmerie and the General Directorate of Security, by Provincial Gendarmerie Commands and Provincial Police Departments in Afyonkarahisar, Ankara, Aydın, Bursa, Eskişehir, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Mardin, Mersin, Uşak, Istanbul, Niğde, Sakarya, Kastamonu, Kocaeli, Hakkari, Osmaniye, İzmir, Iğdır, Nevşehir, Erzurum, Denizli, Kırklareli, Şanlıurfa, and Yalova. A total of 125 suspected members of the ISIS terrorist organization were arrested. Those who aim to harm our brotherhood, our unity, and our solidarity, those who try to exploit our faith, and those who attack our values; will only see the power of our state and the unity of our nation in front of them!"
357 PEOPLE WERE DETAINED YESTERDAY
On the other hand, it is worth recalling that yesterday, 357 suspects were detained in raids conducted in 21 cities.
