World Freediving Champion Şahika Ercümen won gold medals in all categories she competed in at the Freediving Turkey Championship held in Antalya, with 85 meters in the constant weight monofin category, 77 meters in the constant weight bifins category, and 75 meters in the no fins free immersion category.
The Freediving Turkey Championship, held in the district of Kaş in Antalya from August 31 to September 3, 2024, has concluded. The championship, which saw the participation of 62 athletes, was dominated by the World Freediving Record Holder Şahika Ercümen.
WON GOLD MEDALS IN 3 CATEGORIES
Ercümen won 3 gold medals in the championship by diving to a depth of 85 meters in the constant weight monofin category, 77 meters in the constant weight bifins category, and 75 meters in the no fins category. Ercümen will represent our country by competing in the AIDA Freediving World Championship in Corsica on September 5, the CMAS Freediving World Cup in Antalya/Kaş on September 16, and the CMAS Freediving World Championships in Kalamata, Greece on October 2.

In her statement after the award ceremony, Şahika Ercümen, the World Freediving Record Holder, said, "Following our Victory Day, I want to represent our country in the best way possible and achieve new victories at the World Championships and World Cup to be held in September and October. I have 3 important international tournaments ahead of me. With the motivation of this championship, I aim to win the gold medal for our country in the competitions in Greece, Corsica, and Kaş by increasing my efforts."
