Bad news has arrived for those who love playing football on artificial turf fields. As the wave of price increases hits these fields as well, the hourly fee for artificial turf fields, which is currently 2800 TL, will rise to 3500 TL starting from September 1st.
Playing football on artificial turf is known to be one of the most enjoyable activities, especially in the evening hours, when gathering with friends. However, these enjoyable meetings will now strain your wallet even more. The wave of price increases has also affected artificial turf fields.
Across Turkey, artificial turf businesses have adjusted their prices due to rising costs. Currently, the hourly fee for artificial turf is 2800 TL, which will increase to 3500 TL starting from September 1, 2025. This will result in an approximate increase of 25 percent.
REASON FOR THE INCREASE: RISING COSTS
Artificial turf operators state that they have had to raise prices due to recent increases in electricity, maintenance, personnel expenses, and rent prices. The rise in energy prices, in particular, directly affects many items from field lighting to heating systems. Businesses express that they have long postponed the price increase to avoid inconveniencing players, but it has now become impossible to cover costs.
AMATEUR FOOTBALL PLAYERS ARE CONCERNED
The increase in artificial turf fees is particularly worrying for amateur athletes who have made it a habit to play football regularly every week in teams of 8-10 people. The fees paid will significantly increase the cost per person. Under the old rate of 2,800 TL, the cost per person ranged from approximately 280-350 TL, while with the new rate, this figure will rise to 350-450 TL.
