A fire broke out following the horrific accident, and police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. Despite all interventions, it was reported that 2 Turkish drivers lost their lives at the scene.
The driver who lost his life after being hit by the other truck while checking his broken vehicle on the roadside was identified as Enver Çavdar, registered in the Başıbüyük neighborhood of Kula district in Manisa.
THE FUNERALS WILL BE BROUGHT TO TURKEY
It has been learned that the funerals of the deceased drivers are expected to be delivered to Turkey at the beginning of the week after the completion of the procedures. While Bulgarian authorities have launched an investigation into the accident, the bypass road was temporarily closed to traffic in a controlled manner.
