A dispute among three friends drinking alcohol in Akhisar turned into a gunfight. 22-year-old Mert Aybar lost his life, while two others were seriously injured.
In the Akhisar district of Manisa, a dispute among three friends who were drinking alcohol escalated into a gunfight, resulting in one person dead and two others seriously injured. The incident occurred yesterday around 9:00 PM in the Medar neighborhood of Akhisar. According to reports, a disagreement arose for an undetermined reason between Mert Aybar (22), Mehmet Ç. (22), and Emre T. (27), who were drinking alcohol. It was claimed that as the argument intensified, the three friends opened fire on each other with shotguns. Upon hearing the gunshots, local residents alerted the authorities, and gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
INVESTIGATION INTO THE INCIDENT CONTINUES
During the checks, it was determined that Mert Aybar, who was hit by a slug, died at the scene. The seriously injured Mehmet Ç. and Emre T. were taken to Akhisar Mustafa Kirazoğlu State Hospital by ambulances for treatment. Aybar's lifeless body was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after the prosecutor's examination at the scene.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
