Kadir's Tree Houses, a accommodation facility located in the Olympos region of Antalya, completely burned down in a fire. The flames were brought under control after a 4-hour intervention, but nothing was left of the world-famous accommodation facility. The owner of the establishment, Kadir Kaya, could only watch helplessly as it happened.
Kadir's Tree Houses, the first tourism facility in the world-famous tourism region of Olympos, which has been serving for more than 30 years, turned into ashes with the fire. The tree houses were heavily damaged in the fire in 2007 and were rebuilt.
200-BED FACILITY STARTED BURNING AT NIGHT
Kadir's Tree Houses, which introduced treehouse tourism to Antalya and started tourism in Olympos, caught fire around 03:00. The fire, which started for an unknown reason, was intervened by the Forestry Management Directorate and the Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department. The fire in the world-famous 200-bed facility, known for its huts built on trees, was brought under control in 4 hours.
CUSTOMERS ESCAPED DEATH
As soon as the fire started, the customers in the facility were evacuated and there were no casualties. The owner Kadir Kaya was greatly shocked by the scene he saw.
IT SURVIVED FIRE AND FLOOD DISASTERS
The first fire in Kadir's Tree Houses occurred on February 8, 2007, and the facility was completely burned down at that time. Kadir's Tree Houses, located at the foot of the Taurus Mountains and very popular in the international backpacking community, was rebuilt.
SELECTED AS THE BEST HOSTEL IN THE WORLD
In 2009, Kadir's Tree Houses were also damaged in the flood disaster in Olympos, Kumluca. The Ox Bar inside the venue was completely destroyed, and there was damage in 70 rooms. Kadir's Tree Houses, previously selected as the best hostel on earth by TNT Magazine, was well-known worldwide.
CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION
