Five people affected by a chemical leak from a truck in a warehouse located in the Kemalpaşa district of İzmir reported symptoms of dizziness, nausea, and redness in the eyes when they went to hospitals. Measurements taken by AFAD teams determined that the leaked substance was a chemical called 'propanone' and that it was not at a harmful level for health.

Five people working at a factory near a warehouse site in the OSB neighborhood of Kemalpaşa district in İzmir applied to hospitals with complaints of dizziness, nausea, and redness in the eyes.

A CHEMICAL SUBSTANCE LEAKED FROM A TRUCK

Upon receiving a report to the 112 Emergency Call Center, police and AFAD teams were dispatched to the area. An inspection revealed that there was a chemical substance leak from a barrel in a truck located at the warehouse site.

THEIR HEALTH CONDITIONS ARE GOOD

In the 'Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Threats' (CBRN) measurements conducted by AFAD teams, it was determined that the leaked substance was a chemical called 'acetone' and that it was not at a harmful level for health. It was learned that the health conditions of the five individuals who applied to nearby hospitals were good, and they were discharged after outpatient treatments.
