Goldin announced that the uniquely shaped chip was sold for 87,840 dollars (approximately 3.2 million TL) on Sunday. In a post from the auction house's X account, it was stated that the 7-centimeter-long chip was preserved in a box attached to a customized Pokemon card. The image of the chip and its sale price quickly became a trending topic on social media.

In a statement from the auction house, it was mentioned, "The item offered is a Flamin' Hot Cheeto that is 7.6 cm long in the shape of Pokemon Charizard. It is mounted on a customized Pokemon card and preserved in a transparent card holder. It was first discovered and preserved by 1st & Goal Collectibles between 2018-2022. It gained significant attention on social media platforms in late 2024." According to the listing information, there were 60 bids for this unique chip. The winning bid was 72,000 dollars, and with the added buyer's premium, the total price reached 87,840 dollars.
