The Israeli opposition had proposed a motion for the dissolution of the Parliament in June but could not secure a sufficient majority. According to Israeli laws, the opposition can present the dissolution law to a vote every six months.

With the Israeli Parliament going on recess on July 27, Netanyahu will be able to breathe a sigh of relief. Despite the coalition falling into a minority government position, it is assessed that the current government will remain in power until the Parliament reopens in October 2025.

CALL FOR "ELECTIONS" FROM THE MAIN OPPOSITION LEADER

On the other hand, Yair Lapid, the leader of the main opposition party Yesh Atid, stated in a video message that "with the Netanyahu government's fall into a minority government position, it cannot send soldiers to war, nor can it decide who lives and who dies."

The leader of the Israeli main opposition also said, "Now is the time for elections."
