After suffering a heart attack at home, singer Fatih Ürek is undergoing treatment in the hospital. His doctor, Cardiologist Prof. Dr. Mehmet Vefik Yazıcıoğlu, stated regarding Ürek's health condition, "He is not in life-threatening condition in terms of heart and rhythm. I have no doubt about this at the moment. We will patiently wait during this waiting period for the brain's functions to return to normal."

Following his doctor’s statement, a written announcement was made by the hospital regarding Fatih Ürek's health condition. The statement included, "Our valuable artist Fatih Ürek's condition is stable, and his treatment in the intensive care unit continues."

'HE WAS INTUBATED WHEN HE CAME TO OUR HOSPITAL'

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Vefik Yazıcıoğlu also provided an explanation regarding Ürek's ongoing treatment in the intensive care unit. Prof. Dr. Yazıcıoğlu said, "At 11:15 AM, Mr. Fatih Ürek arrived at our hospital. He had a history of having collapsed at home. They called 112 ambulance thinking he had a heart attack. After the 112 arrived, a cardiac arrest occurred. Timely intervention was made there, and a massage was performed. He underwent CPR, which lasted for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, they brought him to us urgently. When he arrived at our hospital, he was intubated. He had a heartbeat, and his blood pressure was close to normal. Since he had a heart attack, we immediately took him to the catheter laboratory and intervened to open the blocked artery. There was a blockage in one of his arteries; he had undergone a stent procedure two years ago. We think he might have missed his blood-thinning medication. Stent blockage is a more serious situation we encounter. We completely removed the clot there and opened the artery. He currently has no problems related to the heart. His blood pressure and pulse are normal at the moment."

'WE HAVE DOUBTS ABOUT WHETHER THE BRAIN WAS DEPRIVED OF OXYGEN'

Doctor Yazıcıoğlu stated, "During this process, we have doubts about whether the brain was deprived of oxygen. We are currently sedating him. We will likely keep him sedated. When we wake him up, we hope he can continue his life without any problems. I can say that this process related to the brain is uncertain." In response to a journalist's question, 'Are you concerned about the risk of paralysis?', Doctor Yazıcıoğlu replied, "Generally, when the heart stops, if a long time passes, problems can occur in the brain after 3 minutes. Even if this time is 20 minutes, if very good massage was performed, the brain's oxygenation can be fully achieved, and he can wake up without any problems. God willing, we hope to see him without any issues."

'THERE IS NO LIFE-THREATENING CONDITION IN TERMS OF THE HEART'

Doctor Yazıcıoğlu stated, "There is no life-threatening condition in terms of heart and rhythm. I have no doubt about this at the moment. We will patiently wait during this waiting period for the brain's functions to return to normal. The anesthesiologist decides how long he will be sedated." His manager said, "The driver informed me in the morning. I rushed home. From there, we came here by ambulance. I ask his fans to pray for him." Meanwhile, a written statement from the hospital regarding Fatih Ürek's latest condition included, "Our valuable artist Fatih Ürek's condition is stable, and his treatment in the intensive care unit continues."
