The incident occurred in Işık Park located in Abdullahpaşa Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, an investigation was initiated after it was claimed that a police officer, who was one of the parents, intervened in the incident during a scuffle between two 6-year-old children playing in the park and assaulted one of the children.
POLICE OFFICER SUSPENDED FROM DUTY
While the investigation initiated is being conducted by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was reported that the police officer involved in the incident has been suspended from duty.
In a statement made by the Elazığ Governorship, it was stated, "It has been deemed necessary to make this statement in order to accurately inform the public regarding an incident that occurred in Işık Park, Abdullahpaşa Neighborhood of our province. In the mentioned incident, during a scuffle between two 6-year-old children playing in the park, it was claimed that a police officer, who was one of the parents, intervened in the incident and physically assaulted a child, and immediate action has been taken. The investigation is being conducted by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The police officer involved in the incident has been suspended from duty, and an administrative investigation has also been initiated."
