According to CNN, a Boeing 737 aircraft operating flight number 1893 from Orlando International Airport to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport had a flap on its wing partially detach before landing in Texas on August 19.

NOBODY WAS INJURED

During the landing, none of the 62 passengers and crew on board were injured. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation into the incident. In a statement from Delta Air Lines, it was noted that the aircraft with the partially detached flap on its left wing has been "taken out of service for maintenance."

In footage recorded by passenger Shanila Arif, the flap hanging from the back of the wing was observed while the aircraft was in the air. Flaps are movable parts located on the rear of the aircraft's wings and increase lift during takeoff and landing.
