The Ministry of Interior has granted permission for an investigation to be conducted against Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş and 38 council members on the grounds that they "did not implement the administrative court's decisions to annul zoning permits." The ministry had previously granted permission regarding Yavaş in the context of a "concert investigation." Burhanettin Bulut reacted by stating, "The permission for investigation is not legal but political. Even mentioning Yavaş in the same sentence as abuse of power is absurd."
The Ministry of Interior has granted permission for an investigation to be conducted against Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş and 38 council members on the grounds that they "did not implement the administrative court's decisions to annul zoning plans."
According to the information obtained, the Ministry of Interior granted another investigation permission for Mansur Yavaş following the concert investigation.
INVESTIGATION ON "ABUSE OF OFFICE" ALLEGATION
Following the allegation that "the annulment decisions of the administrative court regarding certain areas in Gölbaşı İncek Neighborhood of Ankara were not implemented," an investigation permission was requested for Mayor Mansur Yavaş and some municipal council members.
It has been learned that the Ministry of Interior decided to grant investigation permission for Mansur Yavaş and 38 council members on the allegation of "abuse of office."
The Ministry's decision regarding the investigation permission dated October 21, 2025, claims that "the municipality did not act in accordance with the court decisions."
SECOND INVESTIGATION PERMISSION FOR YAVAŞ
Thus, the number of files for which investigation permission has been granted for Mansur Yavaş has increased to two. The Ministry of Interior had previously granted investigation permission on November 22 regarding allegations of irregularities in concert expenses involving Mansur Yavaş and his chief of staff.
